Ledgent has partnered with a growing storage company and we're looking for a skilled, hands-on Senior Accountant to help strengthen and scale our client's accounting operations across multiple storage facilities. If you thrive in small to mid-size company environments, enjoy bringing order to complexity, and want true ownership of the month-end close, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

• Own the full month-end close across multiple entities.
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate, well-supported financials.
• Clean up existing books and stabilize accounting processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements-including software upgrades or leveraging AI-assisted tools for efficiency.
• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks: journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, intercompany activity, and more.
• Collaborate with leadership and operations through clear, proactive communication.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and operational requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on accounting experience in small to mid-sized company environments.
• Experience managing beginning-to-end accounting and cleaning up books.
• Proven ownership of the month-end close process.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills.
• Demonstrated job stability and reliability.
• Experience operating in multi-entity environments.
• Excellent communication skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience implementing or upgrading accounting software.
• Ability to build and document processes from scratch.
• Comfort in fast-paced, evolving operational environments.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and familiarity with SiteLink (mini/self-storage).
